SPAA Charter

St. Peters Athletic Association ("SPAA") is a non-profit organization dedicated to firmly implanting in the boys & girls of the community the ideals of good sportsmanship, team play, honesty, loyalty, courage and respect for authority. SPAA attempts to provide an environment that will also remain sensitive to the physical and emotional well being of the boys and girls in the program.

SPAA is an independent league serving St. Charles County Missouri since 1972. Our league consists of 19 & over mens division, t-ball division for 4 and 5 year olds, pitching machine league for ages 6 - 8, boys baseball divisions and girls softball divisions. Over 1500 participants participate in SPAA.

It is our intent to have players with similar skill levels play against each other so that all players may enjoy success. The SPAA Board of Directors encourages our volunteer managers and parents to adopt a philosophy that places the emotional and physical well being of our players ahead of any desire to win. As an organization, we accentuate that our managers do their best to organize practices that are fun and challenging for all our players and develop personal baseball skills necessary to allow that player to advance to the next higher level of play within the association or beyond.

We stress that our Managers demonstrate fair play and sportsmanship to all players and treat each player as an individual, remembering the large range of emotional and physical development for the same age group. We keep in mind that children are great repeaters of what they have heard. SPAA governs by the creedo “Do unto others as you would like others to do unto you” when dealing with umpires and opposing managers, coaches and fans.

SPAA emphasizes the game is for the children and not the adults and that this game should be fun for the kids. If it is not fun, then we have lost sight of what it is all about. In the years to come the SPAA Board of Directors hopes to continue our expansion and continued success in developing the children of the St. Peters community.
